El Cheapo: The Great 5 Dollar Craft Event
When I was in high school, we had a dance (usually around this time) called "El Cheapo". The object was to go on the cheapest date possible-the "date" included dinner, matching outfits, and an activity-and compete against other couples for a cool prize at the dance. It was fun and highly creative, like free-samples-at-Sam's Club-for-dinner kind of creative. This inspired me to put together a collection of awesome $5 and under crafts, which will be the theme of the month of March. The plan is to offer a collection of crafts and recipes, all for about $5. Can it be done, you ask? Absolutely. I'm not talking about tacky, cheap stuff you wouldn't want around your house. I'm talking cool stuff. I'm planning on 8 crafts/recipes for the first four weeks, with the last Tuesday and Thursday of the month being devoted to a linky party and my first Giveaway. Yes, you read correctly. I will be giving away a custom made $5 craft to 2 lucky readers (more on that later)! So get excited, get thinking, and stay tuned for El Cheapo: The Great 5 Dollar Craft Event!
